I show how to make a cheap & easy DIY crank arm thread chaser for around $4 or less. This can help fix the threads of a crank arm if they are seiously gunked up or have light damage. This will not cut new threads, or repair stripped threads. It may however help prevent stripping out the threads from using a crank puller with poor thread engagement (not screwed in far enough).
This tool is similar to Bicycle Research model TC-8 which I think is now out of production.
